Men's Ministry Prayer Focus

APRIL 24TH TO APRIL 30TH

Gentlemen,

This week, let us focus on Missions.  Coming alongside Jim’s message of sharing our faith with those who don’t know Christ, and being reminded of the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, our task or command is wrapped up very neatly in the following verse, known as the “Great Commission” that Jesus gave to his disciples after the Resurrection:

APRIL 17TH TO APRIL 23RD

Gentlemen,

Yesterday the world was filled with services celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  As David Jeremiah remarked in his sermon, Easter Sunday is the most attended service on a Sunday, barring none, not even Christmas.

But is that where we leave our celebration of the Resurrection? Or, do we celebrate every day the wonderful news, as Charles Stanley says, that “God has broken the power of sin and death, and all who place faith in Christ will enjoy the Lord’s presence throughout eternity”

MARCH 27TH TO APRIL 2ND

Gentlemen,

We continually pray as men of Bethany to position ourselves to give of our time and resources to the Kingdom.  Pastor Jim’s message today addressed that and I would like to come alongside the message with the following.

Ecclesiastes 3:1
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:”

MARCH 20TH TO MARCH 26TH

Gentlemen

I am just going to hone it a bit more on Jim’s sermon about spiritual gifts, as we continue to grow our men’s ministry, encouraging men to come together, and giving of their time, talents, and other resources, that can be packaged very nicely as using our spiritual gifts.

From the sermon’s supporting scripture: Romans 12: 1-8, verse 6:
“We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.”

MARCH 13TH TO MARCH 19TH

Gentlemen,

I’d like to revisit what was part of our prayer focus back in January,  (praying for our Men’s ministry), since Jim brought up the subject of small groups in his message, while speaking overall about how we are a “Biblical Community” and are commanded to and need to fellowship with other Christians.

As noted in the scripture from Acts 2:44, 46b:

MARCH 6TH TO MARCH 12TH

Gentlemen,

Pastor Mike spoke about “Totally Surrendering to God”, today. We surrender to loving, worshipping, and serving our Lord thorough a personal relationship with him.  We are denying ourselves and surrendering to His Wisdom.

We are familiar with Proverbs 3:5
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
